For GPS (God's Princesses - my small group), out of town trips do not just mean frolicking in the beach, relaxing, doing nothing. I'm happy to be part of a group where the number one goal is to seek and glorify God, whatever the activity may be. Most of you will probably check and zone out on my next statement, but I just want to say that when you seek and put God first, He will give you double the excitement, and double the fun.
We held our first out of town trip last June 3-4 at La Luz Beach Resort, Batangas. It may have been the best schedule for the people involved, but not for the weather, or so we thought :) Days before our retreat, it was raining cats and dogs (yes, magamit lang hahaha). Rain was non-stop. It was even reported that a storm was coming. But if there was something all of us girls had in common that day, it's our faith that God will sweep away the dark clouds and provide sunlight where and when we need it. Up to now, I still could not fathom God's amazing grace and favor for giving us such beautiful weather on those days!
And yes, we are also so blessed to have an event organizer and director for a small group leader :)) This is the only beach outing I attended which required coloring materials, time capsules, sky lanterns, and loads of tissue. (Please do not wonder anymore about the scepter and crowns at the end of this blog hahaha).
