DIY Gift Pack

Our school holds events every month and last Friday was our Family Day. I usually pack loot bags and prizes for them and this event was no exception. Since I was sick early last week, I ran out of time for a few things like packaging (usually a basket) for some of the special awards. The night before the event, I did this quick and easy solution. It was also free because the materials I used are things I found here at home.

Materials I used are:
- plastic
- craft paper
- stapler
- wrap from flowers my boyfriend gave me
- string / ribbon
First was I put all the goodies in the bag and determined the general shape I liked for the package. I just folded the plastic outwards and put a tape around it to hold.
Next is I removed the contents and measured off the amount of craft paper I'll need.
Next is to wrap the plastic with paper. I did this in sections. I had to cut the paper so I can fold the parts properly.
Then I just stapled them in place. And finished the whole thing. After doing that, you'll end up with something like this.
Next is I just tried to think of ways to decorate it and that's when I remembered I kept the wrap my boyfriend used for the flowers he gave me. Plus I also have string in my craft box. And voila!
I used the excess wrap for the smaller award. I used it in the middle to cover the masking tape I used to hold the contents together. And just used a ribbon this time. But I actually like the brown string better :))
Sorry for the photos and production. This was a super random and last minute project. Also chose to make this post from my phone. Haha. Just a quick first post for 2015. Yay! :)
