Of Chairs and Faith

In life, there are times when God allows low points for us to see His glory. If all things are good, how will we know what bad is? For example, between students who a) was able to graduate because everything was provided for her by her parents, and b) was able to graduate while working at the same time, striving to finish school to provide for her family soon, who do you think will give more value to her accomplishment (or what she has been blessed with)?

The past school year was a big challenge for us (for some weird and bad reason the enemy has to make us fall, our enrollment dropped), but we thank God that He still allowed us to thrive through the year. We were able to overcome our academic endeavors and school activities overflowing with His grace. We continued to face trials, but even with the big drop in enrollment, we never experienced lack and God was never late in providing for us. He was always on time, even just by the minute. What's important is that we know deeply the character of God, so we can hope and hold on to His promise - that He who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

Our pre-school has thrived for 3 decades, and then trusted God for a great expansion with grade school. My mom always told me that if this school weren't part of God's plan for our family, He would have taken this from us long ago. But why is it that although we face challenges, it is still standing, existing, and continuously growing? Because God's hand is over our business, lifting it up, year-by-year, all for His glory.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1
Today, we purchased 50 more chairs for our school. Despite, the recent meltdown, we believe that God is far from done. This is our way of showing God that we are standing in faith, trusting Him that He will fill up those seats with students He picked out and prepared to be part of SICAC. As of now, more than 25% of last year's total number of students have already enrolled, where most are new students. We believe that as the summer vacation is coming to a close, God will continue to pour out His grace and favor to our school. I am excited to see first-hand how God will work, provide, and lift us up. To God be all the glory :D
