DIY Napkin Pouch

I don't know if this happens to a lot of girls but sometimes when I walk in a building and the guard checks my bag, my napkin's right there aka nakabalandra. I've been trying to arbor my sister's napkin pouch but of course, ayaw niya. Hehe.

I still have extra fabric from my denim pants that I cut into a pair of shorts and so I made my own!

I don't really sew so don't expect super neat looking results. That also means that this is super simple and easy! The process and the way I stitched it is somewhat similar to my travel tissue holder,  only this is easier, I think. First, fold your fabric to measure how big your pouch is going to be.

And then mark the sides. In the absence of a ruler, I used my notebook haha. This is where you will stitch. Do this for both sides and remember to sew on the wrong side!

And then you will have this:

And then measure and mark the top portion. This will be the flap.

Then cut.

This is optional, but to avoid the edges from running, I sewed them too. Hope this works :))

And now for the insert!

And some details:

An additional option would be to add velcro or a ribbon of some sort to close it but I'm okay with this (meaning, don't want to sew any more haha) for now. Yay! :)
